RWC buys tree length small diameter Lodgepole Pine known as "whips" from local timberstands. They are then processed into lengths at the yard.
Turned from dense Montana timber, doweled roundwood is the exact same diameter the entire length. RWC manufactures doweled roundwood ranging in diameters from 2" to 6" in half-inch increments as well as 7" and 8". Material produced in 6½', 7', 8', 10', 12' and 16' lengths.​
Posts made from doweled roundwood have ends pointed and capped. Sold in 6 1/2', 7' and 8' lengths.
